PHOTO SERIES 1

"I shot this series in Texas last summer on my beaten up old Olympus OM10. I’m very attached to this camera, and even though it leaks light and the lens is scratched, I can’t let go – as if it possesses all my power as a photographer. I’m in my element when I have time alone in a new place taking photos, and my road trip to the States proved no exception. Crossing the border from New Mexico to Texas, the weather closed in and whipped up almighty storms. I saw skies with textures I've never seen before, and tried to capture the dark – but electric – atmosphere; as well as the calm that followed." - Imogen Eveson
